About the Artist

Tracey Currington began her artistic journey in 2015, embarking on a path of creative exploration that has led her to develop a distinctive voice in contemporary art. Primarily self-taught, she honed her skills through weekend workshops and online courses, allowing her natural intuition and creativity to guide her artistic development.

Working across multiple mediums including acrylics, mixed media, oils, and encaustics (melted beeswax and damar resin), Tracey creates both abstract landscapes and purely abstract works that are rich in texture and visual depth. Her artistic practice is deeply influenced by travel and nature, which inspire the organic forms and atmospheric qualities present in her work.

Tracey's approach emphasizes creative freedom and exploration, allowing each piece to evolve naturally through layers of color, texture, and mark-making. Her works range from structured compositions to more spontaneous expressions, unified by her sophisticated understanding of color relationships and surface treatment.
